Coronet Tourney -- Principality of Cynagua
May 26-28, 1984 (AS XIX)

CYNAGUA CORONET TOURNEY will be a three-day event. On Saturday there will be a mini-Collegium. The Coronet List will be held on Sunday. On Monday, there will be a Newcomer's Court and Princess' Tea as well as an unbelted prize melee.

There will be a Principality fighter practice from 1:00 to 4:00. Michael Hugh Stuarts will be teaching Beginning Blacksmithing all day.

The CYNAGUAN ARTS CHAMPIONSHIP competitions for May Coronet are:

Performing Arts: Open -- obviously anything!
Technical Arts: Headgear -- hats, coifs, hoods, turbans, etc. No circlets.
Technical Arts: Horsebarding -- does not have to be modeled!
Fine Arts: Illumination -- scrolls, borders, etc. Entry does not have to contain a text.
Fine Arts: Jewelry, Open -- anything that is decorative: rings, pendants, bracelets, torcs, earrings, anklets, etc.

The Arts Championship Rules are, again, as follows: Anyone may enter as many or as few competitions as desired, but in order to win the "Arts Championship", you must
A. enter at least two of each category.
B. enter a total of eight contests.

The rules for each contest are:
1. one item per contest.
2. one item may be entered in two or more different contests.
3. minimum of three entrants to hold a contest. If there are not enough entrants you will still get credit towards your total for the Championship.

We will be using the List Board at the May Coronet Tourney. Bring your list shield. If you don't ahve one, here are the specifications:
1. It must be no larger than 3"wide and 3 1/2" long.
2. It must have a 1/4" hole in the top (for hanging).
3. It should have some means of identifying the fighter. If you have a device, use that. If you have no arms yet, you may put your name on the shield and paint over it when you do get a device.

Those fighters who do not bring a list shield will be assessed a $1 rental fee for one.

Remember, you must be a member of 3 months duration, and a resident of six months duration in Cynagua, to quality to fight in the Coronet List.

The Order of the Copper Spoon will hold its first competition at Cynagua's Spring Coronet, May 26-28. The subject is cheesecake. With your submission, please include your recipe. The entries will be judged on appearance, presentation, taste, and ingredients.

Copper Spoon is the new cooking order for the Principality of Cynagua, from its Kingdom parent, the Order of the Wooden Spoon.
