From The Page (October, 1984):
November 3 and 4, the Principality of Cynagua will hold its Fall Coronet Tourney at Camp Pollock Boy Scout Camp in Golden Rivers. This is a nominally dry site, so plan to be very discreet. There will be a $2 site donation requested. No pets will be allowed.
Warning: The site lies next to the American River. If you have children and are not sure they will have sufficient supervision, please plan to leave them at home.
There will be a Friday night setup.
Saturday will see a Morning Court tentatively at 10am, with the Coronet lists occurring later in the day. There will be a Princess' Tea on Sunday. For other happenings, contact the AUTOCRAT: Gleda Eiriksdottir at (phone).
The Arts competitions for November Coronet are:
Technical Arts: Cordials, Footgear.
Fine Arts: Pottery -- open.
Performing Arts: Storytelling.
Rules are as follows: (omitted)
And, once again, my usual pitch: Do not feel that you must be an expert in order to enter a competition. Many of the competitors have won or placed highly as "beginners".
By the time this comes out, I will have just moved. Please call my old number (phone) in order to get the new one if you have any questions. Siobhan ni Seaghda.
