Brigand Hunt -- Westermark/Vinhold
April 13-15, 1984 (AS XVIII)

From The Page (April, 1984):

"The bones is cast, the gloves am thrown,
"We got the might, c'mon let's fight.
"'Cause we aint wimps, and youse all gimps.
"Nyaah, Nyaah, Nyaah..."
               -- a popular brigand ballad

The BRIGAND HUNT is on! Come join the proud baronies of Westermark and Vinhold as they drive these peddlars of bad verse into the dark abyss whence they oozed.

The event will cover two days, with setup beginning after 1 pm Friday April 13, 1984, and breakdown by Sunday evening Wurr Flat campground in Memorial Park. The camping area has flush toilets and showers. The area the Hunt will take place in is well within walking distance, but has no facilities. Be prepared for the possibility of rain and cold evenings.

The camping area has a limited parking capacity of 15 cars, so PLEASE CARPOOL. Any overflow will be directed to the main campgrounds at Memorial Park (about 3/4 mi away). The camping rates at Memorial Park are $5 per night per car. Those who end up camping in the main park will not be subject to the $2 site fee. Contributions by those folk will be graciously accepted, however. There will be a shuttle service between the main park gate and our own site should attendance warrant it. The main campgrounds gate closes by 10pm.

PARK REGULATIONS: 1) No hard liquor (there are rumors of a tavern being planned). 2) No pets of any kind. 3) Please do not feed the animals. 4) No gathering of firewood is allowed. Firewood may be purchased at the main gate. 5) No open fires. 6) No firearms or other (real) weapons. 7) Please observe a 10pm quiet hour. 8) No loud music, amplified instruments, etc.

ARMOR REQUIREMENTS: (standard armor and weapon requirements omitted)
