From The Page (March, 1984):
The Shire of Vakkerfjell will be hosting a revel on Saturday, March 17 -- the Not Quite Spring Revel. The site will be Kynoch School Auditorium. There will also be an area for game playing, outside the main room. This is an informal revel with costumes being the only requirement. With luck, we should have entertainment in the evening, with belly dancers and minstrels as well as dancing available for the populace. This being a school, it is a DRY site. Those who must, please keep bottles, etc. out of site.
A potluck is planned, and the following should help balance what is brought: A-F: desserts; G-K: breads, L-S: main dishes, T-Z: salads or vegetables. Kitchen facilities are not available, but outlets can be used for crock pots etc. if needed.
Doors will open at 1:00 pm, and those remaining after 11 pm will be put to work.
