From The Page (January, 1984):
Hear ye! Hear ye! That long awaited event, the fantastical, frantical, and most heartily amusing STOCK CLERK'S INVENTORY is upon us once again. A full inventory of all publications in the Stock Clerk's Office must be held each year as part of the Society's tax form preparation. Willing volunteers are urgently needed to help us count two storage rooms of back issues of Tournaments Illuminated and other Society publications. A grand REGISTRY FILING PARTY will be held the same day, sinc eour small core of regular filing volunteers has fallen behind the steady stream of incoming subscription forms and correspondence needing handling.
If you can count from 1 to 100, print reasonably legibly, and know your alphabet from A to Z, we need you. If you've ever wondered what on earth a Corporate Office looks like, or how all those people with funny names spend their time, this is your chance to find out. If you enjoy a pleasant afternoon with your friends, bring them along. Nibbles and soft drinks will be provided. Wear sturdy clothing (mundane) that can survive dust and floor sitting. And many thanks in advance for giving your time. Without the friendly help so often extended, the Society would never function as well as it does.
Date: Saturday, 14 January, 1:00 pm until we're finished (about 6:00 pm).
