All Hallow's Eve celebration will be comprised of: in the morning a wine tour, in the mid-afternoon a period feast, in the evening a Halloween Revel.
Wine Tour...will meet promptly at 10 am in the Robert Mondavi Winery parking lot, (see map) off Hwy 29 above Napa. THIS IS A COSTUMED EVENT. After a wine tasting tour of the Mondavi Winery, there will be a break for a small picnic at Yountville Park. At 1 pm the tour will continue on to Domaine Chandon for sparkling wine tasting (there is a $2.00 fee per glass, but it is well worth it). For more details contact Mistress Merewyn (phone).
All Hallow's Eve Feast....Is a costumed event and you are requested to wear red or black, masques will be supplied before the Revel. Tickets for the feast and revel are $7.00 in advance (your tickets will be held at the door for you) and $8.00 at the door, $3.00 for children 7 to 12 years, and children 6 and under will be free. Tickets may be purchased from Mistress Merewyn at the Griffenhold Pavillion or Hypatia at the De Phoggger Pavillion at Coronet, Crown, or Ducal Prize events, otherwise call Hypatia for arrangements at (phone). There is a raffle planned for a gift being made by Baron Anthony the Sinister so keep your ticket stubs when you get them at the door.
The site is the Multipurpose Room at Kennedy Park (site of St. Andrew War) and signs will be posted clearly as it is just off the Hwy. There is ample parking directly across the street from the site.
The Feast will include a presentation interlacing in a 4 remove period Feast the sights, sounds, and symbolism of All Hallow's Eve during the period with Baron Anthony the Sinister as Servitor....There will be toasts, mummers, bellydancing, sooulers, masques, music, a light procession, and a presentation of the play within the play from "A Midsummer's Night's Dream". Bring your utensils, bowls and flagons...
The Revel....Will ensue directly after the feast around 8 pm (the site closes at 12 pm) ... mulled wine and hot cider will be served, along with dancing, story telling, singing, group games, table games, all sorts of reveling to bring out the spirits in us all...for bottled spirits the revel is BYOB. All guests are invited to stay over and attend the Barony fighter practice on Sunday, Oct. 31st, for overnight accomodations contact Hypatia (phone).
