The students of the College of St. David will hold a protector tourney on
22 May A.S. XVII. Set up will begin around 10:00 AM., when the first
announcements meeting will be held. Arm up and armour inspection will happen
around 11:00, and the protector lists will begin promptly at noon.
Along with the lists, there will be many non-fighting events and contests,
including:
--- a medieval kite contest sponsored by Lord Davous Windrider. Prize: to be announced.
--- a boffer prize list. Prize: a golden boffer.
--- a quest, similar to the one held at Purgatorio; "Capture the Beast of St. David"
Following the day events, a revel and pot luck dinner will be held at the Crown/Merril Recreation Room. Maps to the revel site will be given out at the tourney. The College will provide a non-alcoholic beverage, but if you wish heartier spirits, you are welcome to bring them. We also ask that each person provide a dish as well as his or hers own eating utensils and vessel. There will be many games and other forms of merriment, as well as a bardic circle. Two more contests will be held during the revel. Lady Eleyna Adkoshka will sponsor a 16th century blackwork embroidery contest. Prize: to be announced. There will also be a merry song contest at the bardic circle. Prize: to be announced.
