From The Page (October, 1981):
The Shire of Windy Meads would like to invite one and all to the Fourth Annual Windy Meads Anniversary Revel and Feast of St. Meryk to take place on October 10, AS XVI. (And yes, we know how many other things are scheduled for that day.) Due to a shortage of people and time, the Feast will be somewhat potluck in nature. The Shire will provide the main dishes. Anyone coming from outside the Shire should bring things according to this list: (Mundane last name starting....brings...) A-H: desserts: I-P: side dieshes; Q-Z: bread and beverages. If you have some delicacy you'd just love to prepare, and it goes contrary to the above suggestions, go ahead and bring it anyway. Also, if you have any special drink you want, it would be wise to bring it yourself. We are also asking for a 50 cent donation to help cover the costs of making the main dishes, etc. There will be eating, revelling and dancing. All entertainers and/or music tapes (and something modest to play them on?) would be appreciated. The doors open at 6 PM, and we will start eating at 7 PM.
All this will be held at: (address and Directions omitted). If you have any questions, call Amber (contact info omitted) or Michal (contact info omitted).
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
