From The Page (July, 1981):
The Seneschal's Summerfest in Wastekeep is being held on August 22-23 at Lewis and Clark Trail State Park near Dayton, Washington. Set-up can begin Friday night, though access after 10 pm will be limited to park-and-hike. There are flush privies and running water at each site; a stream for swimming (nude bathing not allowed), and some raised cooking pits. This year's Summerfest will include the wedding of the Seneschale, Jocelyn Crokehorn and Richard the Pure. A tourney will be held, and the Champion of the day will give away the bride. There will be a best personal or household banner contest, a best medieval bread contest (the winning recipe will be published in the Wastekeep cookbook), and a "Legend of Wastekeep" contest (to be held at the bardic circle). Entertainments will include belly-dancing, bagpiping, and on Sunday, a live Dungeons and Dragons game. Lists sign-up begins at 10 am on Saturday, the Tourney at noon, and the wedding at 7 pm. The groom is providing drink for all; and all are heartily invited!
