From The Page (August, 1981):
In order to ensure the continued peace of Mt. St. Helens the populace of An Tir is requested to join us, along with our friends from the Middle Eastern lands, to Quest for the Dragon's Egg on Saturday, August 19. The place: Gabriel Park in SW Portalnd, Oregon. The time: 9 a.m. to dusk.
We are co-autocrating this event with the MED&CA (Middle Eastern Dance and Cultural Association of Portland). It is strongly suggested the members of the populace dress in Middle Eastern garb (not mandatory). The wedding feast will be a potluck. Try to make a special Middle Eastern dish (stuffed grape leaves perhaps?).
The Autocrat of the Revel is YaLeah. You can reach her at (contact info omitted). Middle Eastern theme for costume and tents preferred, but not mandatory. $1.00 entry feel for anyone not in costume. Such persons, after payment, will receive an identification symbol. Please make them feel welcome. If such a person later vecomes costumed, the $1.00 entry fee will be refunded. Bring all your saleable treasures and spread out a blanket to display them. Do come and join us! Look for the sign of the camel to find your way to the park.
The Autocrat of the Dragon's Egg Quest is Lady Winnefred of Clann Davidson (contact info omitted). Come help the Shire of Stromgard keep from being burned by the wrathful Dragon of Mt. St. Helens. Remember, if she gets by us, she will start on the rest of An Tir, and then---the Knowne World!
