From The Page (June, 1981):
The Grand and Glorious Province of Southern Shores has been forced by circumstances entirely within our control to change the date of our Warlord Tourney to July 11-12. The site is now set for Big Basin, and directions will appear in the next issue of the PAGE.
Activities will include the following: Two-part Lists (open to all fighters, who intend to serve as the Warlord by attending Southern Shores' events and by leading the members into battle) - a three round double elimination list in which all local fighters will get a bye for the first round; and a round robin for all fighters remaining at the end of the third round; Pandy Bat melees; Chess Tourney (in the Swiss manner - each of the five rounds to be a different form of Medieval chess); dancing (including lessons for the less well educated foot); and a lying contest (honest!).

In honor of our Guild Mistress, Ambrosia de Andalcuia, we, Ladies of the Bay (ye courtesan's guild from Southern Shores) is sponsoring a contest to be held at the Warlord Tourney. The contest is for the best "ambrosia", whether it be drink or dish--you decide. There will be two categories, therefore, two prizes. All entries will be judged on taste and appearance and must include your recipe. The prizes will be something definitely golden.
