From The Page (August, 1981):
ANNOUNCING!
The Second
(Probably Annual)
Lucky/MacEanruig
(or is it)
MacEanruig/Lucky
WAR
| When: | Saturday, August 29 Set-up from 9 AM Fighting from 10 AM |
| Where: | The same old place-- Mills College Eucalyptus Grove Oakland, CA |
| Why: | The usual (lack of) reason: to determine whether it is the Lucky/MacEanruig War or the MacEanruig/Lucky War this time. |
| How: | More of the same: Sides will be divided as evenly as possible (and re-divided as necessary). Each scenario will be fought at least twice, with the commanders swapping sides. Scenarios include: semi-open field battles, bridges (both wide and single file), line melees, the infamous tunnel, and any other hair-brained (sic) schemes we concoct at the last minute. |
| Bring: | Armor, weapons, drinks, food. |
| Leave: | Cour costumes |
| Notes: | **This is not an SCA event** Minors whose parents
will not be present should write in advance for a copy of the waiver. **There is an unfortunate shortage of Sanitary facilities (ie none). Plan accordingly. |
| Directions: | (omitted) |
