From The Page (April, 1982):
The Province of Calderium (not Caldarium and not Caldenum) will host an interprovincial revel on Saturday, April 1, from 7 pm to midnight. The location is the Ballett et Ronde Dance Studio in the Lincoln Arts Center, (address omitted), Santa Rosa. (See map below.) The revel is being held to promote friendship between the peoples of the North Bay and beyond, and to usher in the Province's new name. (A spelling quiz will be held at the end of the revel.) Everybody will also be celebrating the ushering in of a new seneschal, that is, everybody except the new seneschal will be celebrating. With so many excuses to hold a party, it should be pretty good.
Topping off the evening's entertainment will be a session of Medeival Games of Chance
a'la Westermark's Gambling Den of Iniquity at the latest Twelfth Night.
The populace is requested to bring an idea for a period betting game (be creative!)
and a free bag of betting chips will be supplied to all. A modest prize will be awarded
to the evening's luckiest gambler, the size of the prize dependent on how much
swindle con request from our treasurer.
Musical entertainment is planned, and there will also be a North bay Arts Show wherein everybody is requested to bring their greatest and latest creation so that we can display them and discuss their wonderful beauty/skill/creativity/other. Finally:
