From The Page (November, 1981):
Location: St. Andres United Methodist Church (address omitted), Sacramento. Doors open at 4 p.m. Saturday, November 28 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving). The theme for this year's banquet will be 15th-16th century English Public House. All comers are invited to dress accordingly: as though you are travelling and have stopped at a Public House for dinner. Appropriate dress is not mandatory, however. The menu includes Beef and Chicken (cold, with a hot gravy), cheeses, breads, fruit and vegetatables, and ale or cider for drink. The price of admission is $6.00 in advance only. We are limited to 150 people, so if you take your chances and show up at teh door without a ticket, you may go hungry. Checks may be made payable to GOLDEN RIVERS, and sent to Chuck Berdan, (contact info omitted).
