From The Page (September, 1980):
On Saturday, September 20, will take place in Tilden Park's Airplane Field a celebration of the gentler arts of the Current Middle Ages. What there will NOT be is fighting. What there will be is dancing, games, kite-flying (PLEASE bring kites!), and demonstrations and discussions. Aelfwyn Gyrthesdohtor will discuss heraldry, Frederick of Holland will discuss brewing, Linda-Muireall von Katzenbrasse will discuss costuming. There will be cooking demonstrations by Ella de la Vergne, the making of silk roses demonstrated by Eriod of Eire, and many types of embroidery demonstrated by whoever we can get to hold still long enough. There will be ... I say it again ... much dancing, and Irish harp music. If you know of someone who may have something interesting to demonstrate or discuss, or if you have any questions, contact the autocrat, Eilis O'Boirne, at (phone). This event will start at 10 a.m.
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
