From The Page (December, 1980):
The investiture of Sir William the Lucky and Mistress Hilary of Serendip will take place December 6, at the College of St. Hildegard (Mills College) in the Student Union.
Set-up begins at 10:00 a.m. on the Mills soccerfield. Opening court will be at 12 noon, to be followed by an afternoon of fun and fighting. Fighters - bring some small treasure as your entry to a plunder melee ... (For those who haven't seen one, a plunder melee starts with everyone wearing a tag representing the prize he is contributing to the kitty. In this case, those who make kills will get the tags worn by their victims - not any tags the victims have taken previously. Suitable prizes wil include any small thing a fighter would enjoy wearing or consuming.)
Between five and seven p.m. the hall will be available for eating. A fynne peasant broth and bread will be available for one dollar the serving for those who wish a quick hot meal. Bring your bowl. If you choose, bring a basket meal - there will be no kitchen facilities with which to heat food.
The last court of Prince Kevin and Princess Patrice will start at 7 p.m. to be followed by the investiture. The investiture will be followed by much reveling and dancing. The hall closes at 11:30 p.m.
