From The Page (August, 1979):
Attention all barons, knights, viscounts, squires, men-at-arms, warriors, and peasants: the dispute can endure no more!! The right noble Kevin of Lancaster, Lord of House Lancaster de Valorous and the right honorable Gerrard of the Roses, Lord of House Romany (Yorkist) have challenged each other to arms and will field their armies at Milo McIver State Park 45 minutes south of Portland near Oregon City on September 15 and 16 to settle many and diverse points of honor and debate. There will be an armed march, an armed camp, a bridge battle, a pitched field battle with archers, and castle storming! Also archery shoots, both war and target (remember screening for helms) and perhaps a kidnapping and a peasant hunt!
On Saturday evening there will be a grand potluck (bring enough for yourself and four others) and the wedding of Leanna fran loga Sibel Klinga and Fryhten Frywulf Tungolstan. A bardic circle is planned and belly dancers are invited. For further information on war rules and battle advice, communicate with His Majesty, Steingrim (contact info omitted). For further information about the war or to host a contest, communicate with Kevin of Lancaster (contact info omitted).
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
