Yule Revel -- Shire of Wolfscairne

Wolfscairne's Yule Revel will also celebrate the founding of the Wolfscairne group. It will take place starting at 4:30 pm on December 2 at (address omitted).

A contest for desserts with spirits, sponsored by the Order of the Ravenous Wolf, will be judged at 5:30 pm. Bring rum cake, brandied cherries, custard with Galliano or whatever spirited dessert you favor. The prize will be a cookbook.

A Box Dinner Auction to benefit Wolfscairne will begin at 6 pm. Ladies are asked to bring box dinners for two, and gentlemen to bring monies with which to purchase these delectable munchables. After dinner a King and Queen of Misrule will be chosen to rule over the games, dancing, musical entertainment and various revelries of the evening.

At 8 pm the following contests will be judged: SCA Weapons -- judged on the materials and methods of construction with the prize being a nine-foot length of yellow rattan. Twelfth Night Favors -- a favor to be worn by one's lord (or lady) at a Twelfth Night revel. It can be embroidered, sewn, knit, or whatever. The prize will be a length of lace. And Headgear Made for Under $5 -- hats, caps, or whatever. Use scraps, beads, and your imagination. Prizes will be given for the most becoming and for the most outrageous headgear.
