From The Page (October, 1978):
All Hallows Eve on October 28 in Fette Burge will be celebrated by a revel with its theme from Edgar Allen Poe's Masque of the Red Death. It will be a masquerade ball; everyone should wear animal masks. There will be apple bobbing, dancing, etc. The RED DEATH, itself, and other characters from the story will be present and there will be a dance of the living and the dead. The RED DEATH will ask questions of dancers about teh story and if they cannot answer, they will become dead. The last dancer living will win a prize. So be sure to read the story carefully so that you can answer questions. Supper will be potluck--bring a generous quantity of something. For further information (location, etc.) communicate with Sharra ni Perran (contact info omitted).
