Pikes in the Melee

Lyrics by Frederick of Holland

(To the Tune of: Mothers Little Helper)

What a drag it is getting killed....

Things are different today
I hear every shieldman say
These twelve-foot pikes are just a bloody drag
Even with a few of ours,
We are getting killed at wars

     There just isn't any shelter
For a shield wall in the welter

Pikes kill both left and right
Help to get us through the fight.

Armsman please, some more of these
Outside the door, we hired four more..

Things are different today
We have many pikes in play
We are slaughtering our enemies in droves
But if we get more of those
We won't have our shields in rows

No more hiding in the shelter
Of the shield wall in the welter.
