Radnor of Guildemar, Apology Scroll

The full scroll
Apology from some of the members of Vinhold to Radnor
of Guildemar for some ... indiscretions during his
reign as King ... Scroll by Tatiana Nikolaevna Tumanova

"Once upon a time during the reign of King Radnor, Geoffrey of
Griffinhold was Kingdom Seneschal. And Geoffrey did make merry
about the fact that Radnor was originally from the Barony of the
Western Seas (Hawai'i). An inflatable palm tree was left next to
the royal pavilion. Then a pink plastic flamingo. An Aloha banner
was mysteriously hung from its eaves. Gifts of macademia nut liquor
and pineapple appeared. A new dance was created (the 'Tiny Bubbles'
pavannne). A jack-o'lantern carved from a pineapple graced the table
at the All Hallows Eve feast. Finally, a gift of 'new regalia' was
made a crown made from a straw hat painted gold, the top removed and
embattled; an orb made from a coconut, again painted gold and adorned
with the cheapest of plastic jewels; and a scepter made from rattan and
a pineapple. At the end of the reign, those of us would had taken part
in this conspiracy crawled like worms into Court, enjoyed a good grovel,
and presented The Apology Scroll (note it had many, many more signatures
on it, added after this photo was taken). The portrait is of the recipient,
of course. The likeness was taken from a photograph; I faked the hands and
the 'regalia' which is why they don't quite look right. This was not an
award scroll but it was great fun to do." -- Tatiana

"The scroll and the grovelling took place at March Crown 1985."
