Underclothes

"Here's a full length shot the same as the previous photo. The cloak is entirely finished and the chain mail has been darkened down.

"The soldier's under clothing, which would be a long-sleeved kaftan of some variety (beneath a padded garment called a "podzor" which is covered up by the armor and doesn't show here), was painted in with the same base green as was used on the malachite lady's robe although the details are difficult to make out in this photo. The base color for the hunting horn and the soldier's mittens was laid down and I was just starting work on the horn by laying in the darkest areas and approximating the shadow cast on the horn by the shaft of the spear." -- Tatiana Nikolaevna Tumanova
