The Devil Is In The Details.

"More layout work and refinement of the original sketchy idea. The merits of two different styles of laurel wreath are discussed, drawn out, and the one on the left side of the letter is discarded as being too modern. Aldith sketched in her idea of using a lightning bolt motif in the lower left. Juan's Arms are being drawn in greater detail here on the tablecloth, the sword is drawn is more detail, and the five coins. Originally there was a candle on the right side of the table -- its lit flame would have symbolized the fire elemental -- this was dropped when all of the elements in their natural forms were relegated into the landscape. The candle became a flash of lightning (sparking Aldith's idea for the "diaper" pattern behind the large letter); the idea for having a flowing river/stream in the landscape changed into rain." -- Tatiana Nikolaevna Tumanova
