The Date That Would Live In Infamy.
This is just a close up, centered more on the date correction. Again, you can compare this with the earlier shot of the 'finished' scroll.

The last repair was to paint the valence of the blue rip stop nylon tent (the one my sister Kara is standing in) a pale blue. Looking once more at the color image of this tent, it still looks white to me, but Johann says it's pale blue. Okay, he ought to know!

The repairs took a little over 2 hours. Added to the rest, the entire scroll from start to finish -- i.e., napkin to final product -- took 33 hours. This was crammed in over a period of sixteen working days -- the longest working session was a little over 6 hours and that was on a weekend. Most sessions were from 1 to 3 hours, after I got home from work (I do work full-time for a living, and it's not at being a scribe).
