Paint, Paint, Paint
With the chalk transfer outline wanting to drift away on any spare breeze, I worked very quickly to capture all the lines with white paint. Hilary the Puppeteer had gifted me with a lovely ruling pen that made gorgeous straight lines -- that critter was loaded up with white paint and all the straight border lines were done in no time flat. Unfortunately it doesn't adapt well to curves; all the circular lines are pretty wobbly, but I knew I could dress those lines up when the gold paint went on over the white under coat. After the white paint had dried, the entire thing was gone over with an eraser. The chalk erased extremely easily, along with all the smudges and stray pencil lines.

Nearly there. But Twelfth Night was only a week away now and no way on earth was I going to finish the scroll in time. -- Tatiana Nikolaevna Tumanova
