Hubris -- Paging The Furies
Remember when I was working on the text? Remember when it turned out the layout wasn't quite the right shape? Remember when the text block and miniature block got re-drawn on the illustration board? Remember that? I wish I had.

The layout on the tracing paper was the original one, and that was what I'd used to rough out the border, which was now the wrong size and shape. The entire frackin' border had to be totally redrawn to fit the right size and shape. I had hoped to finish the scroll so it would be ready to hand over to Aricia at Twelfth Night, but this disaster put me back two weeks. I would be able to bring the scroll to Twelfth Night to have the Vesper Principal Herald sign and seal it, but it wouldn't be ready to go home with the recipient.

This is the redrawn, second version of the border. Along the way it picked up spikenard, wintergreen, larkspur, sorrel, datura, aconite, lion's tooth (dandelion), and St.John's wort. A little bit in each corner could be lifted straight off the first border, but all of the rest had to be done over again. Lord, I was tired. -- Tatiana Nikolaevna Tumanova
