"Based directly on on eof my favorites, the Drogo Sacramentary, pergamenata with black ink and gouache. I've loved this page since I first saw it in the first manuscript book I ever borrowed, let alone owned. When Ben got his LoM, it seemed the perfect opportunity to finally attempt it, though I had to play with the scroll text significantly to get it to fit correctly, with his name near the beginning and with minimal breaks in words. Funny story: a C&I Laurel gave me a hard time for pairing such "late period" foliage with such early period text. I was extremely amused, since the illumination is literally copied directly from the facsimile of the original page. :)" -- Eliška z Jihlavy
