"Based on a page from The Hours of Catherine of Cleves. Opaline vellum ("spam") Higgins Black Magic and W&N gouache. This represents my continuing practice with shading - one of the things I'm particularly working on now. The daipered background in the top of the structure is a nod to the Mists populace badge, though I didn't have the chutzpa to try to escallop all those little saltires and borders... ) The hanging banners represent the field division of her device, the demi-sun is an obvious reference to the West, and the candles in the windows represent the arts, as she is Kingdom Arts Minister." -- Eliška z Jihlavy
