"From the 10th centure Leon Bible. Watercolor paper with Higgins Black Magic and gouache.
     I had huge fun with this one, though I'm disappointed that the warm color of the paper didn't show better on the copy. Rodrigo the Rat Hand is a notorious ladies man, so I had no compunction with replacing the rather Moorish seraphim on the original with more earthly beauties (one black haired, one blonde, one brunette and one redhead). I had a hard time with the script, and finally poured through several related manuscripts until I'd collected enough individual letters to make an alphabet I could use." -- Eliška z Jihlavy
