History: The Kingdom of Atenveldt was once a Principality of the West Kingdom.

• Atenveldt was the first Barony of the West Kingdom (and the SCA) -- November, 1969 (AS IV)
• The first tournament in Atenveldt was held December 7, 1969 (AS IV)
• Atenveldt became the first Principality of the West Kingdom (and the SCA) February 22, 1970 (AS IV).
• Atenveldt's first Coronet Tournament and Investiture was held April 12, 1970 (AS IV), the victor of the tournament was Robert Roundpounder, fighting for Angela of the Meadows.
• The first Crown Tournament was held January 16, 1971 (AS V). The first Coronation was held at that time. The first King and Queen of Atenveldt were Richard Ironsteed and Felicia MacChlurain.
