A Songbird's Farewell

June, 2009 (A.S. XLIV)

Long have I served my kings singing their praise
And brought my queens joy throughout all of their days
But as all cycles end the time comes for goodbye
And so now it is time for this songbird to fly

I leave you my stories, I leave you my song
Their echos of glory I hope will live on
My time has been grand, my heart has been true
But now comes the next Bard I sing him to you

A man of great dignity, honor and pride
My joy it has been to spend time at his side
So as my wings do carry me north to my hall
To Antonio now do I sound out my call

I leave you my stories, I leave you my song
Their echos of glory I hope will live on
My time has been grand, my heart has been true
But now comes the next Bard I sing him to you
Antonio comes, start the cycle anew
