For Love’s sake, a Crown of the West
An Eastern Knight for love would journey
And find a lady to share the test,
to inspire him in the Crown tourney
An Ordeal to try both mind and body,
With Love’s own nectar he would persevere
His strength and devotion to her mighty
Their ascension and union many would cheer
A story of love’s redemption
Of quest, of sacrifice of birth and rebirth
Of distant hearts divided now one
Old pain and sorrow replaced with mirth
Roger, the Eastern knight, now King of the West
And Zanobia, his love, the Queen of the West
In the style of a Shakespearean Sonnet.
