Legends

Leah Raedaelf of Pagham, Bard of the West
Estrella War, February A.S. XXXVIII

We are the heart of the warrior,
And we are the strength of the blade.
The deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts;
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

We are the heart of Sir Gawain,
Who forty once felled with a stride.
If the West stood against the great armies of Hell,
The odds would still be on our side.
For we are the heart of the warrior,
And we are the strength of the blade.
The deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts;
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

Oh, we have the strength of Sebastian,
Armed with sword and with spear for the test,
From the veterans of war to the youngest at hand,
Look around at the pride of the West.
Yes, we are the heart of the warrior,
And we are the strength of the blade.
The deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts;
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

Like Senkyu, we are the foundation
Of the castle that all seek to find;
And as long as we’re true to the best that we are,
We’ll ne’er be the last of our kind.
No, we are the heart of the warrior,
And we are the strength of the blade.
The deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts;
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

So stand by our great King in battle,
The first among firsts in the land;
And though Glory shall ride out to follow our path,
It’s Honor that’s always at hand,
For we are the heart of the warrior,
And we are the strength of the blade.
The deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts;
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

Let the deeds that the dreamers seek spring from our hearts—
We’re the stuff of which legends are made.

"In honor of Sir Gawain, the last Prince of Lochac, Baron Sebastian of Darkwood, and Baron Senkyu of Allysia; men of great heart and deeds and who each have inspired the West." -- Leah Raedaelf of Pagham
