Mists Investiture, May 15, AS XXXIX (2004)

To juggle with words is the skill of the bard,
To stumble with the same was the fate of the guard.

Of warriors bold are the tales of my King,
With voices of angels, His populace sing.

A challenge was made, that this hall we should grace—
To see the rose blush on Her Highness’s face.

"In response to a challenge to Her Highness’s guard to write poems to excuse themselves, after they delivered roses to all the ladies in the hall— barring Her Highness." -- Leah Raedaelf of Pagham
