I’ve never been to war before
I thought that all the stories weren’t anything more
I’ve never been to war before
I thought ‘It’s just a game, with people keeping score’
But this is why the battles going on:
That shield charge is a song, and out the blood must pour.
So please forgive this foolish state I’m in
I’ve really never been to War before

Though I’d heard all the former tales of guts and gore
I’ve never been to War before
And now I just adore this bashing to the core.
For this is why I put this helmet on
The battles going strong, and still I’m wanting more
So please forgive the berserker state I’m in

I feel the blood and glory rising to the fore

But now the armies roar beats our foe to the floor
I wonder why to get here took so long
