(April, AS XXXVIII)

Son of kings and blood of warriors
Rise you now and face your foe
Stand with pride but never fail
To fall with honor to a blow

Fight you now with might and prowess
Make your homeland shout and sing
Your true praises- ever honored
Worthy be of the name of a King

In the sun you fought most fiercely
Brave in victory and defeat
As you’ve fallen still your glory
Shall be praised as we find meet.

One of the "fighter poems" from Mists Spring Coronet, April XXXVIII (2004).
