Colin MacLear
June Crown Tournament, June, AS XXXVI (2001)

Performed for Invocation of the Crown Lists

Warriors, arm for battle
Would you win glory here?
Would you be remembered?

Consorts, ward your warriors
That they may draw strength from you
That they be inspired

Would you shine upon the field?
Pure of heart and pure in deed?

May such one rule o’er our Kingdom
Grant strength to their arm
And speed their sword
And let them know courage

May such one rule o’er our Kingdom
All blows turned aside
By honor’s ward
Let faith be their sword’s edge

Let them come forward in glory
To claim the Crowns and Kingdom

This is from Colin's CD and accompanying booklet "Bardic Fire", which contains pieces that Colin created and performed during his tenure as Bard of the West.
