I came unto Estrella war, a shieldman I would be
I’d stand in ranks with comrades, face a pike or two or three
We’d march into the battle with our spirits riding high
And its like unto Valhalla, it don’t matter if we die
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
For the West I’ll fight and die this day
A fighter newly authorized strapped on his shield and sword
The frontline of our army, all the vanguard cheered and roared
For though we fell on left and right he charged into the fray
And full three times of his number did he send upon their way
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
For the West I’ll fight and die this day
To the world’s own edge they pressed us, yet we firmly held our ground
Two tiny knots of warriors with their forces all around
The Western banner still flew high, their spearmen stood there tense
As sir Cybi led the rest of us in a Maximus defense
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
For the West I’ll fight and die this day
The defile we invaded and we crashed into their line
The pikemen all about us could set chills upon your spine
As Brian stood off nine or ten, another caught him high
And did you know, without a doubt, our Misty Prince can fly!
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
For the West I’ll fight and die this day
The castle we defended, ten ranks deep their fighters came
With archers, spears, and axes set to smash and slay and maim
Such pride we have in Western knights whose courage does not lack
For our two stood ‘gainst their fifty and they drove the army back!
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
For the West I’ll fight and die this day
The Western army travels to the wars of foreign kin
To lead the charge or hold the line and glory for to win
I’ve fought in many armies, but until the day I die
I will proudly stand with the Western host, my sword and head held high
With a hey ho and a rue-aye-ay
