I’m a woman of the West
Best beware my thorns
To the battle I am bound
And in honor I am sworn
My shield is raised to defend
My sword will strike at need
So dismiss me not as just a maid
I challenge you, take heed!

I’m a woman of the West
Practicing my art
In gladness I will teach
And my knowledge impart
My art is ever ready
My science skills I share
Dismiss me not as just a maid
My talents they are rare

I’m a woman of the West
To service I am bound
My duty is to help and serve
Wherever need is found
The running of the day to day
Is meat and drink to me
So dismiss me not as just a maid
I give of service freely

I’m a woman of the West
With grace I’ve ruled this land
Decisions I have had to make
And firmly by them stand
And as a Queen I’ve had my due
And challenges I’ve faced
So dismiss me not as just a maid
I’ve ruled here in this place

I’m a woman of the West
A member of this realm
A mother, daughter, lover, friend,
These things above all else
The titles they have given me
Are honours, and I’m blessed
But I’m not just a simple maid
I’m a woman of the West
