For Daniel and Aeschine, Investiture

by
Bella Caterina Malatesta
January, 2009 (A.S. XLIII)
Tune: O Maria felix puerpura, 13th century

Honor to Cynagua, now your prince has come
Daniel, mighty in battle, worthy of renown
From the mountains white with snow, see him coming forth
Come to claim his throne now and prove to all his worth

Glory to Cynagua, see your princess fair
Grace and beauty attend her, Aeschine, our lady rare
By his side she will stand, Princess of the swan
Look now to your lady, as she takes her throne

Praise them, all of Cynagua, your Prince and Princess this day
Lift your glasses in honor of Daniel and Aeschine
Might and valor, beauty and grace, honor and renown
Ascend now the thrones of Cynagua, the jewel in the Western crown
