The voice of winter beckons
After nineteen years have passed,
And in that time he's written songs
And stories he's amassed,
The histories and tales wrote down
Performed by campfires bright,
Warming hearts and touching souls,
His words are embers bright. The gentle voice of spring-time
A love song he did sing,
And in the summer of his song
He counseled queens and kings,
And in the Autumn of his years
His bell like voice rang clear
And once again he serves the Mists
As bard as winter nears. The voice of winter beckons
After nineteen years have passed,
It comes again as seasons do
And Autumn it shall surpass,
The voice of winter comes again
And to the Mist-lands sing,
Praise be Your Grace, sing out your song,
'Till winter gives way to spring.
