A Sonnet for Alfar and Ketily

Antonio Giordano da Sicilia
Beltane Coronation (May), 2010 (A.S. XLV)

In vernal skies two stars were newly born,
They rose at twilight and danced 'till the morn,
The sailor's took note and charted these stars,
One rests near Venus, the other near Mars,
A pair of flames within the night time sky,
Across the heavens these two stars do fly,
Upon Their kingdom, these two stars do shine,
Harbingers of promise and joyous times.

Like sailors, we chart the course of this pair,
With trust, we follow, no fear nor despair,
Anticipation as we turn the page,
Harmony and peace, a hopeful new age,
Alfar and Ketily, our King and our Queen,
You are stars of the West, long live this dream.
