This collar was commissioned by Hirsch from Timothy Royar. It was the first collar Timothy made, and is still one of my favorite pieces of work of his. This has the symbols of the two peerages of which I am a member (the Laurel and the Pelican), interspersed with a stag's head plaque from my arms (which Timothy replicated very close to the original design), and in the center is a Queen's Order of Grace (the crowned rose with the pearl). The pearl, as I understand it, is a core of silver that has been enamalled. (I know it's not a real pearl.)
